Character's Appearance:

Peter is short for a boy, coming in at around 5'7. He is very self conscious of his height, and is hopeful that he's got a growth spurt left in him, though that's unlikely. He's got medium length sandy blonde hair, and clear blue eyes. As far as his stature goes, he's got quite a bit to him, but not enough as to be grotesque. His mother fondly refers to his rotund stomach as his extra padding. He can't help that he's got a bit of extra weight to him, seeing as how when he gets nervous, he eats. A lot.

Character's History:

Peter grew up in a respectable pureblood household. His parents, Eileen and Robert cared for him very much. He has one older sister, who is already 25. Being quite a bit younger than his sister, he doesn't know her all that much. He adores her whenever she comes home for the holidays, but they don't have any real sort of relationship. His mother dotes on him like a baby whenever he's home. She is always cooking him whatever he pleases, and Pete always feels a bit spoiled when he's at home.

When Peter got his Hogwarts letter he was ecstatic. He couldn't have been more shocked, considering the low amount of magic he had shown as a child. His parents had been worried he might not have enough magical ability to go. But his mother had screamed when she opened the letter. She was so relieved, and proud of her boy. She would have loved him, had he not gone, but she loved him even more now.

Peter was nervous about going to Hogwarts, because he figured he'd be so far behind the rest of the students. He was relieved when that he wasn't, not really. His first year was problematic for him, and he got himself lost quite a few times. He generally found his way back with the help of the school ghosts. He became friends with his dormmates, James, Remus and Sirius, though he always felt like he was secondary in their minds. He never believed himself good enough to be their friends, and therefore he simply just adored every second they spent together, because they weren't making fun of him.

Character's Personality:

Peter is a very shy boy. He doesn't speak up, hardly talking at all, especially when he's in the presence of people he feels superior to him. He has a soft manner of speaking, and is always putting himself down. He doesn't think himself very good, or worthy. He's kind, though. He'd do a lot for his friends, mostly because they are his friends, and he still can't believe that. He mostly listens, and prefers to sit on the sidelines to the action.

As far as blood purity goes, Peter secretly harbors a dislike for muggle borns. It wasn't something taught to him by his parents, but as soon as he learned of the notion that some purebloods felt they were better than muggle borns, he latched on to the idea. It wasn't often that Peter could feel better than someone else, and this was his only way, really.

Peter has never been successful in a relationship. He's tried to attract the attention of a few girls, but they were always repulsed by his advances. He's sort of given up on them, though he does harbor feelings for a girl or two. One girl in particular, he simply adores. It disgusts him to admit it, but she's so beautiful, he can hardly realize the wrongness of her being a mudblood. She is wonderful, and all he can think of sometimes.

Peter is a bit self conscious of his animagus form, and wonders if it has something to say about his personality. He's always wondering if his friends look down on him for it. Do they think he's a rat? No, no, he's not. He can't be. They like him, he's asked them himself a million times, no matter how sick of it they are. He's just being ridiculous, is what he's concluded.
